£27,334.29 per annum

Are you caring, reliable, and looking for a rewarding career where you can make a real difference every day?

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our Supported Living and Community Support team. Previous experience is not essential – we value the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant / Support Worker, you will support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, or a combination of these. Your role will involve helping people to live independently, achieve personal goals, participate in their communities, and enjoy fulfilling lives.

The majority of our services are based within supported living homes, where you will typically work from one location for the duration of your shift. We also provide support to a small number of people living in their own homes within the community.

What We Offer

  • £13.14 per hour for all hours worked
  • Annual salary of £27,334.29 (based on full-time hours)
  • Additional payments for overnight shifts
  • 45p per mile mileage allowance
  • Paid travel time of 15 minutes between community visits
  • Comprehensive induction and training programme
  • Ongoing supervision and support
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • Rotas provided 3 weeks in advance

Working Hours

Shifts are worked across a 7-day rota and include a mixture of:

  • Early shifts
  • Late shifts
  • Occasional waking nights
  • Occasional sleep-in shifts

Typical shift lengths are 6, 8, or 12 hours.

Where possible, we will accommodate regular commitments such as college courses or other important appointments, although weekend availability is required.

Experience and Skills

Previous care experience is not necessary. We are looking for people who are:

  • Caring and compassionate
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Good communicators
  • Committed to promoting independence and choice

Some individuals we support may display behaviours that challenge. Experience in this area is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support are provided, including access to specialist Positive Behaviour Support training.

About Our Services

We are a long-established care provider with over a century of experience supporting people to live independently within their communities. Our supported living services focus on providing person-centred support that promotes choice, dignity, independence, and inclusion.

We are committed to helping every individual achieve their goals and live the life they choose, while ensuring they receive the support they need in a safe and welcoming environment.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

If you’re looking for a rewarding career where no two days are the same and where your work genuinely makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
