About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant (Nights) to join a luxury country house care setting in the Caldicot area.

Working 37.5 hours per week on nights, you will play a key senior role in supporting the smooth running of the shift. You will lead by example, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable and respected throughout the night while delivering high-quality, person-centred care aligned with the home’s values of dignity, independence and choice.

You will support and guide care staff, administer medication where required, complete accurate documentation, and carry out regular night checks to promote safety and wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and compassionate senior carer who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team.

About the Home

This beautiful converted manor house offers a warm, homely environment for residents aged 55 and over, complemented by excellent garden facilities and a varied activities programme.

The home features 49 bedrooms in total, including:

• 31 bedrooms with en-suite facilities
• 16 bedrooms with private washing facilities
• Two twin rooms for residents who wish to share companionship or live with a family member

All rooms overlook well-maintained gardens, with ground floor rooms enjoying views of the surrounding countryside. Bedrooms are decorated to a high standard, and residents are encouraged to personalise their space to create a true home-from-home environment.

Dining remains a popular and valued aspect of life within the home. Residents are always offered choice, including vegetarian and vegan options, and religious dietary requirements are catered for with advance notice.

The service is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care. Regular surveys and feedback forms are used to gather honest input from residents and their families. Results are reviewed and actioned at monthly management meetings, ensuring continuous improvement and openness to new ideas.
