The Role

We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Senior Care Assistant to join the day team. You will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while providing leadership and guidance to care staff on shift.

This role is ideal for a compassionate and confident senior who is committed to maintaining high standards of care and supporting both residents and colleagues in a positive, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading day shifts and supporting care staff
  • Delivering personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
  • Supporting residents’ physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing
  • Administering medication in line with training and policies
  • Maintaining accurate care records and care plans
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and management
  • Promoting dignity, safeguarding, and person-centred care at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant (or strong Care Assistant ready to step up)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) – desirable
  • Medication administration experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A caring, professional, and reliable approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people
