Avon Search is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming care home in Reading, Berkshire, for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its dedicated team.

This friendly care service provides a comfortable and supportive environment for older residents, including those with more sensitive care needs such as memory loss and dementia. The home also offers respite care, supporting members of the local community who provide full-time care for loved ones.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking to join a supportive team where delivering high-quality, person-centred care is at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
• Lead and support care staff during your shift.
• Assess residents’ individual nursing needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medication safely and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Monitor residents’ health and respond appropriately to changes in their condition.
• Support residents living with dementia and memory-related conditions.
• Promote dignity, independence and individual choice.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure clinical standards, policies and procedures are consistently maintained.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid UK NMC registration and an active PIN.
• Experience within a nursing or healthcare setting.
• A compassionate and caring approach.
• Good clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
• Confidence in leading and supporting a care team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care.
