About the Home

We are recruiting on behalf of a privately owned residential care home in Doncaster, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for 11 residents.

This small, friendly home focuses on creating a comfortable and homely atmosphere where residents feel safe, valued and respected. The home takes pride in maintaining a clean, tidy and pleasant environment, helping to ensure residents enjoy the highest possible standards of comfort and wellbeing.

The Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the home. You will help create a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, safe and comfortable.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
• Cleaning lounges, dining areas, corridors and other shared spaces.
• Following cleaning schedules and infection prevention and control procedures.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensuring cleaning materials are stored appropriately.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to the appropriate person.
• Treating residents with dignity, respect and consideration while carrying out your duties.
• Working as part of a team to maintain a pleasant and homely environment.

About You

• Previous domestic or cleaning experience is desirable.
• A reliable, hardworking and conscientious approach.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in a care environment.
• A friendly and respectful manner when interacting with residents and colleagues.
• Willingness to follow cleaning procedures and health and safety guidelines.
