Lead and Support a Well-Established Care Service

We are currently seeking an experienced Deputy Home Manager to join a well-established Nursing and Residential Care Home in Rugby. The service provides high-quality long-term and respite care, including specialist support for individuals living with dementia, within a comfortable and thoughtfully designed setting.

This welcoming home has a long-standing history of delivering compassionate care within the local community, with roots dating back over a century. Now operating as a purpose-built service, it offers modern facilities including private, en-suite accommodation and attractive outdoor spaces for residents and their families.

With approximately 30 beds, this smaller service offers a warm, person-centred environment, supported by a close-knit team and a strong, family-oriented ethos.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior carer or team leader looking to step into management, or for an existing Deputy Manager seeking a rewarding role where they can support staff, drive quality, and make a real difference.

The Role

As Deputy Home Manager (Non-Clinical), you will work closely with the Home Manager to support the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care and smooth operational management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Home Manager with the overall management of the home
  • Leading, supervising, and motivating the care team on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered
  • Overseeing care plans, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Supporting staff training, development, and performance management
  • Assisting with audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
  • Managing rotas, staffing levels, and shift coordination
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
  • Promoting a safe, caring, and positive environment within the home

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a senior care role (e.g. Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager)
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable)
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of care standards and compliance
  • Experience working with dementia care (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate, hands-on, and proactive approach
  • A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of £18.50
  • Full-time 42-hour contract
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Career progression within a supportive organisation
  • Company pension scheme
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Employee wellbeing support
  • A positive, team-focused working environment
  • The opportunity to play a key leadership role within a respected, community-focused service
