Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play a key leadership role in shaping standards, supporting the team, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care in a safe, welcoming environment.

The Role

As Deputy Care Home Manager, you will support the overall management and daily operations of the home. You will provide visible leadership on the floor, ensuring high standards of care are delivered consistently while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for every resident.

You will act as a role model for best practice, supporting and mentoring the care team, and deputising for the Home Manager in their absence.

This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Carer or Team Leader ready to take the next step into management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor care staff to maintain high standards
  • Ensure person-centred care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed
  • Promote dignity, choice, independence, and safeguarding at all times
  • Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Assist with staff training, supervisions, and performance management
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
  • Contribute to audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
  • Working towards or willing to undertake NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
  • Compassionate, professional, and values-driven approach
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive and flexible attitude

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary package
  • Excellent induction and ongoing training programme
  • Clear progression pathway to Home Manager
  • Supportive senior leadership team
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Free hot meals while on shift
  • The opportunity to help shape a new service from the ground up

If you are an ambitious and compassionate care professional ready to step into a leadership role where you can truly make an impact, we would love to hear from you.
