About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their everyday lives and ensuring they receive compassionate, respectful and personalised care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing person-centred care and support to residents
• Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
• Supporting residents with mobility and daily living activities
• Helping with meals, nutrition and hydration
• Supporting residents to maintain their independence and dignity
• Building positive and trusting relationships with residents
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Supporting residents to take part in activities and enjoy daily life
• Completing care records and documentation accurately
• Working closely with colleagues, families and other healthcare professionals
• Following individual care plans and supporting residents according to their personal needs and preferences
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment

About You

We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic people who genuinely want to make a difference to the lives of older people.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant in a residential, nursing or dementia setting
• A caring and compassionate approach
• Good communication skills
• A reliable and professional attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Respect for residents’ dignity, privacy, choice and independence
• A willingness to learn and develop your care skills

An NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential if you have relevant care experience.
