The Role

As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues. You will help ensure the home remains comfortable and hygienic, supporting residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and other facilities.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
• Changing bed linen and ensuring bedrooms are clean, fresh, and comfortable.
• Keeping communal spaces tidy and welcoming.
• Following infection prevention and control procedures.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns.
• Respecting residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings.
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a homely environment.
• Helping create a pleasant atmosphere where residents feel comfortable and valued.

About You

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
• A good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A caring, respectful, and approachable manner.
• A flexible and positive attitude.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for residents.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
