We are currently recruiting for two Healthcare Assistant positions to join a beautiful country house care home set within seven acres of landscaped gardens in Dawlish, South Devon.

We have one day position and one night position available, both offering 24 hours per week.

Set within seven acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, this elegant country house offers a peaceful and homely environment for up to 36 elderly residents requiring residential care.

The home combines character and comfort with high standards of care, creating a supportive setting where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence while receiving personalised care tailored to their individual needs.

The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of the care team to provide high-quality, person-centred support to residents, helping them maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing compassionate personal care and support to residents
• Supporting residents with washing, dressing, continence and personal hygiene
• Assisting with mobility and transfers where required
• Supporting residents with meals, drinks and daily activities
• Developing positive and meaningful relationships with residents
• Promoting dignity, independence and choice at all times
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Observing residents and reporting any changes in their health or wellbeing
• Working closely with colleagues, senior staff and healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
• Supporting a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive care team

Day Position

🌞 Healthcare Assistant – Days
🕒 24 Hours per Week
💷 £13.50 per hour + Paid Breaks

Night Position

🌙 Healthcare Assistant – Nights
🕒 24 Hours per Week
💷 £13.50 per hour + Paid Breaks

About You

• Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a care environment
• Previous experience supporting elderly residents is desirable
• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach
• Passionate about providing person-centred care
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to high standards of care
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Willing to support residents with all aspects of their daily care
• Committed to promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to make a difference to residents’ lives

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential, provided you have the required care experience and the right attitude.
