About the Role

We are recruiting for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join a dedicated team within a warm and welcoming residential care setting in Crosby.

This is a full-time day position working 37.5 hours per week, offering the opportunity to take a lead role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will support both residents and care staff, helping to ensure dignity, independence, and wellbeing are always at the heart of daily life.

The service is a charming, characterful Victorian property set in a peaceful location close to local transport links and the seafront. It provides residential and respite care for up to 20 residents, including specialist support for individuals living with dementia.

The Setting

This is a true “home from home” environment where residents are treated as individuals and supported to live life their way. The home offers spacious communal lounges, a separate dining area, comfortable personalised bedrooms, and welcoming spaces where families are encouraged to visit at any time.

Residents are supported to maintain independence wherever possible, with care tailored to personal routines, preferences, and interests. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and family-oriented, with a strong emphasis on respect, choice, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

  • Lead and support care staff on shift to deliver high standards of care
  • Provide personalised, person-centred support to residents
  • Assist with or oversee medication administration (training provided if required)
  • Support residents with daily living activities while promoting independence
  • Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with families and professionals
  • Act as a positive role model within the care team

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
  • Medication training (advantageous)
  • A caring, reliable, and professional approach
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
