About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Care Support Manager to join a small 32 Bed, homely residential care setting in Cullompton, Devon. The home is set in an acre of mature grounds and provides a warm and welcoming environment that strives to meet the needs of the local community in comfort and style.

The setting accommodates 32 residents and focuses on helping them enjoy life in a safe, supportive, and personalised environment. Staff are regularly complimented for the care they provide, reflecting the home’s commitment to dignity, independence, and high-quality support.

This role is ideal for someone looking to step up into a Deputy Manager pathway, with opportunities for professional development including Train the Trainer courses and ongoing leadership training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager and Deputy Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee administrative, quality, compliance, and finance tasks related to care delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Provide high-quality residential and dementia care tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Administer medication (training provided if required).
  • Maintain accurate care records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rota alongside the Home Manager and Deputy Manager.
  • Promote a calm, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a leadership support role within a care setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
  • Experience in care administration, quality, compliance, or finance (advantageous).
  • Caring, professional, and team-focused approach.
  • Motivated to progress to a Deputy Manager role.
  • Passionate about helping older adults live fulfilling lives.
