Join a Dedicated Team in a Well-Established Care Home

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join a welcoming Nursing and Residential Care Home in Rugby. The home provides high-quality long-term and respite care, including specialist support for individuals living with dementia, in a warm and thoughtfully designed environment.

With approximately 30 beds, this smaller service allows for a close-knit, family-style atmosphere, enabling meaningful relationships between staff and residents. The home has a rich history of care in the local community, combining modern facilities, private en-suite rooms, and beautifully maintained outdoor spaces.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role within the care team, supporting residents and mentoring junior staff while ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support residents in their day-to-day care needs while taking a leadership role within the care team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines
  • Supporting residents’ emotional and social wellbeing
  • Supervising and mentoring junior Care Assistants
  • Helping implement individualised care plans
  • Ensuring the home remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in residents’ condition
  • Working closely with nurses, families, and other healthcare professionals

A genuine passion for caring, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example are key to this role.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a care home or similar healthcare setting
  • Ability to lead, support, and motivate junior staff
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional approach
  • Commitment to delivering person-centred care
  • Awareness of health and safety standards in a care environment
  • Interest in ongoing learning and development

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.00
  • Full-time day shifts
  • Supportive, close-knit team environment
  • Opportunities for training and career progression
  • Employee wellbeing support
  • Positive and friendly workplace culture
  • The chance to make a real difference in residents’ lives every day
