We are recruiting Care Assistants to join a friendly, family-run residential care home set within nearly an acre of peaceful countryside in Musbury, East Devon. The service provides a calm, supportive environment for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex emotional or behavioural needs.

With just 15 residents, this service offers a warm and personal atmosphere where staff can build meaningful relationships and provide truly person-centred care.

About the Service

The home provides:

  • Accommodation for 15 adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
    • A family-run service operating since 1984
    • Four small apartments within the home, each with shared living areas and kitchens
    Private ensuite bedrooms for every resident
    • A large garden with views across the East Devon countryside
    • Support focused on helping individuals achieve personal goals and greater independence

Residents are encouraged to participate in daily activities, build confidence, and live fulfilling lives while receiving the support they need.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support
    • Assist residents with personal care and daily living tasks
    • Encourage independence, dignity, and choice
    • Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviours
    • Maintain accurate care records
    • Help residents engage in activities and social interaction

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous care experience preferred
    • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
    • A compassionate, patient, and professional approach
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • A genuine passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities
